Davidson Center Jerusalem Archaeological Park

Herod’s Temple in Jerusalem was one of the marvels of the ancient world. The familiar Western Wall is only one small piece of the remains of the Second Temple. Come tour the Jerusalem Archaeological Park with me. We’ll start off with a beautifully done audio-visual presentation that helps visitors understand how Jewish pilgrims 2,000 years ago experienced the sacrificial rites in the Temple compound. Then we’ll walk along the city’s main thoroughfare during the period the Holy Temple was still standing, see material evidence of the Roman destruction in 70 CE and stand on the same steps that pilgrims used to enter the holiest site on earth.
