Sultan Baybars

Sultan Baibars Mamluk Sultan of Egypt(1223-1277)

Folks in the Muslim world honor me as a hero—and rightly so, considering my victories over the Crusaders and the Mongols too.

I’m the Mamluk sultan who built a postal system through Palestine that connected Cairo with Damascus. In David’s Land, I built bridges, mosques and Islamic seminaries.

If your plans take you to the Golan Heights, don’t miss the Nimrod Fortress which I considerably refurbished and expanded.
